CLASS AND TEACHERS |
|
|
There are typically over 50 teachers who use EDGE for their classes. Styles range from the classics, to modern, many styles of jazz, tap, hip hop, street and more. There are movement classes for actors, partnering classes for couples and singles, and other specialty classes throughout the year. Other classes at the center have included Acting, Improvisation, Voice, Gymnastics and Injury Prevention. Classes are generally between 1 - 2 hours in length and meet 1 to 3 times per week. Some teachers offer pre-registered courses that have a specific start and end date. Other sessions are closed and while others are by invitation. Access to a class will be stated on the register for the studio. If nothing is stated the class is considered an open session and available to dancers 13 years of age and above. Dancers 12 years of age and below must have the permission of the teacher to take class. Please keep in mind that the clientele of the teachers are most often adults, and some are almost entirely professional dancers. See our front desk for information and assistance. We can also help you arrange private sessions and group workshops. Many of the teachers are also working choreographers, coaches and performers and may become unavailable for their sessions. With the unpredictable schedules of the entertainment business there may be times when a cancellation occurs at the last moment. When available, our front desk will have additional information and we will make every attempt to make the time slot available to another teacher already holding class at EDGE. See Policies for attendance information and restrictions. |
