CHRYSSIE WHITEHEAD

Theatre Dance

Chryssie Whitehead works in all arenas as a dancer, actor and singer having a career on Broadway, in Television, Film and Commercials. She has assisted on the hit TV show, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, working with Emmy Winner Choreographer, Tyce Diorio.  Having just completed a run as Lola in DAMN YANKEES at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre and Papermill Playhouse (NJ), she is currently in production for LUCKY STIFF, a movie musical starring Jason Alexander.  Last year she played the role of Kathy in Lincoln Center's Production of COMPANY starring Neil Patrick Harris and Stephen Colbert. Chryssie made her Broadway debut in the Revival of A CHORUS LINE, playing the role of Kristine, “the girl who can’t sing.”  Chryssie was also featured in the hit documentary, EVERY LITTLE STEP. playing herself (2009), about the casting process for a A CHORUS LINE. You can see her acting work on TV from 2010 to the present on THE MENTALIST, CASTLE, MELISSA AND JOEY, MAN UP,IN PLAIN SIGHT and REVENGE OF THE BRIDESMAIDS (2010 ABC Family with Raven Simone). She can be seen in SAVE THE LAST DANCE as Julia Stiles’ dance double and THE PRODUCERS movie with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. Chryssie has danced all over the U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, Japan and Italy touring with Paul McCartney, FOSSE, THE PRODUCERS, ALL SHOOK UP and THE RADIO CITY ROCKETTES.  Other  Television shows  include SWITCHED AT BIRTH, HAPPY ENDINGS, MAN UP, GREY’S ANATOMY, BOSTON PUBLIC, TWO AND A HALF MEN (Choreographer), ALL MY CHILDREN, THE TONY AWARDS, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, THE ELLEN SHOW, MTV MOVIE AWARDS AND The Tonight show with JAY LENO.  Chryssie is a graduate of AMDA and is a faculty member at the AMDA Los Angeles Campus. She also teaches privately to all ages and all levels! Her main focus to teach is musical theatre (adding singing to the dancing), lyrical, jazz, ballet and movement for actors.
