Marlon Pelayo was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  Inspired by his sister and her tap dancing, Marlon started dancing at age 13 at Pacoima Middle School (Theatre of Fine Arts).  Pursuing theatre, he attended Hollywood High Performing Arts and ventured into Edge Performing Arts Center for additional classes from teacherds including Frank Williams, Ryan Heffington, Terri Best and Andre Fuentes.  Other training spots include Media Dance Arts Centre, Suzanne Dellal (Batsheva), and Peridance (NYC).  Marlon’s dance training consists of a strong foundation of ballet and jazz. TECHNIQUE is LONGEVITY.  Cardio Barre, Kung Fu, Gaga have been influences as well as the Tao, Osho and Quantum Physics.

Commercial Jazz can vary widely but involves current trends, music and culture.  Learn the skills necessary to take fast- paced advanced classes.  Gain Assessment skills for placing proper restrictions and challenges on yourself according to your level and body type.  Improve Technique through exercises designed to optimize your stamina, balance and coordination.  Warm up slowly but gradually be lead into a fun energizing dance combo, ready to jump start the weekend.  Become a smart dancer.

I teach because I love to share dance with people and find it fulfilling to create affirmations indulged in the joy of jumping and turning.  Be your own superhero.
