Stevo Jones, Native of Augusta
Georgia, was trained mainly in Cecchetti and Russian ballet
techniques by his professional dancing father for the first 15+
years of his life. Amongst his earlier studies in ballet, Stevo was
also well versed in modern, jazz and contemporary. Serving his
first two years as a professional ballet dancer Stevo then turned to
hip hop, a more suitable fit that paralleled his personality and
interest.
Stevo moved to Atlanta in 2003 and in
less than a year began a strong professional dance career that would
go on to include artist such as Letoya Luckett, Dierks Bentley,
Lloyd, Ginuwine, Ashlee Simpson, Cherish, Sean Garrett, and Coca
Cola as well as movies such as Footloose and Step Up 3D. In his
later years in Atlanta Stevo became a heavy hitter as an elite
artist development leader working as the resident development and
movement coach for Zone 4 Entertainment and Crown World
Entertainment, most notably known as the developer and stage
choreographer for Jacob Latimore since his early years at the age of
10. Aside from his development ventures Stevo collected
choreography credits with Lloyd, Cherish, GA lottery and American
Reunion to name a few.
After relocating to Los Angeles in
2011 and jumping back into dance full steam Stevo got right to work
dancing for Kelly Rowland, Mark Ballas and a now grown up Jacob
Latimore as well as booking his first 3 out of 4 auditions: Becky G
and Lindsey Stirling followed by earning the opportunity to work his
acting muscle as the lead antagonist Jasper Tarik in Lionsgate’s
franchise film Step Up All In. Stevo can also be found touring the
U.S. and Europe reaching out to students and fans spreading his
knowledge of training for the entertainment industry. Stevo remains
a sponge and student of dance and has a incredible energy and love
for this art form he considers an inheritance.
